Happy Thursday Lovelies! Yesterday I wore a mirror print floral dress for my nephew's graduation party. This one boasts a bright color palette that is true to nature. I know that because the colors "mirror" those of the flowers behind me on the rooftop deck!
I was happy to wear this brightly colored dress, it felt festive and equal to the occasion! Also, It was perfect for the air-conditioned restaurant where the dinner party took place. Even though this mirror print floral dress is about 2 years old, it still feels current and on trend. Here is a another photo:
A closer look at does reveal the mirror print floral dress in better detail, You can see that the left side and right side match up. I am loving the symmetry, especially as I am moving, and everything around me is in a bit of disarray.
My dress was thrifted on Long Island last year, as was my purple bag which I added to punch up the purple tones of the dress. The dress came with the label cut out, so I can not tell you who designed it, but the fabric is silk. My sunnies are Max Mara, and do a great job protecting my light eyes from the summer sun. My shoes are EasySpirit, bought in Manhattan at their bricks and mortar store. They are not glamorous, but do the job when I want to walk 20 city blocks!
My family and I ended up at Carmine's; an upper west side eatery well-known for its large portions, good food, and a dining style that is perfect for such celebrations! To whit, the cake that we enjoyed after the meal was the most festive and large I have seen. It is famously - infamously?- called the "Titanic Cake". The last photo will feature this amazing dessert and it should be clear, too, that this was the perfect way to end such a happy event!
Have a wonderful weekend, I hope you are all in celebration mode!
