Monday Morning Salutations! ( What else can I say, it is Monday). I spent another restful weekend out of the city, and enjoyed some R&R. Saturday night found me ready to dine at The Muse, a wonderful Sag Harbor eatery, wearing capri jeans, an animal print, halter-sweater and a very long "diamonds by the yard" necklace from Tiffany.
I wore the diamonds by the yard necklace full length. I normally double or triple it, but such was the mood I was in, a full length, let it get caught in my waistband type mood. I did spend the bulk of this very limited shoot fiddling with it, and that was fun. Warning: this is another shoot done by hubby before dinner...growl.... Still, he is as patient as can be, and he did surprise me with this necklace 20 years ago, for our anniversary. Do you remember when diamonds by the yard was so popular? Well, I still love mine.
My sweater is in a lovely wool halter style with beaded detail and a fun, pink-on-red cheetah print. My denim capris, a "pushing 60" alternative to cut-offs. sigh..., toned this down and added some contrast. My mock-croc, vintage clutch was purchased about 22 years ago, and the hardware still looks pristine. The pretzel knot handle makes this very easy to carry, and I love this classic little bag.
Close ups of the sweater, by Urchin, Mark Eisen, that was thrifted in East Hampton. These were both photographed in one of my new closets, -recent move!- as my hubby has not yet mastered the zoom..
I"m addicted. Actually, I am not, that is merely the name of the ocean blue shade of nail polish from Essie. I am showing off my turquoise toesies in my t-straps, metallic sandals from Payless, who always has my size and has traction soles, so I don't slip on my deck, or highly polished floors. ( Thanks, Payless!)
I have been working hard this month, unpacking and settling in to my new Manhattan co-op, so this is a treat for me, standing here next to my pool and flower pots, feeling the summer breeze on my face. It has been cool so far this summer, which I love! But I guess I look rather glum in theses shots, or perhaps I am just thirsty for the chilled Sancerre that awaits us at our table! Yes, I will go with that one.
How was your weekend? DO tell!
