Halloween is such fun here. In a co-op or condo in NYC , we just sign up and let the little ones come by and get candy. I love children, and this is one of my favorite days. It is all done indoors and the little ones could not be more adorable in their super hero and princess costumes. So I am happy, even though it is Monday, with this thought in mind.
Plus, there is some sunlight left for the day, although it is not abundant. My friend snapped these photos in a hurry as the light was threatening to vanish quickly on the roof top terrace. I am wearing my JAMESJEANS that are perfectly distressed ( via Encore, Madison Ave), and a black Laundry blouse underneath. My sweater poncho came directly from the wholesale jewelry district, which I ambled through, on the way to the DMV to take my drivers license plates back. It is herringbone, a favorite and classic pattern.
My Max Mara glasses protected my baby blues from the rays, and my cork and wool fedora ( Century 21) was perfect for the temperature which was about 66. My black lace up pumps are older: they are Bottega Veneta, and the kind of shoe that one treasures forever. My cute little round bag is a T.J.Maxx Find!
My baubles were recently thrifted at Encore, too. The green ring and the long ring on my pointer finger came from there. They are both signed, but by whom, I can not tell.. ( The disadvantage of older eyes!) The silk flower necklace is Christian Dior and that came from a small shop, two summers ago, in Southampton, NY.
The simple solitaire is from hubby, as is the eternity band. These are over thirty years old! I have been married a long and happy time! The blue polish, with a hint of steel, is Essie.
It was a good day, that day, on the roof top terrace. I was being a bit silly with my friend, who was taking the shots, trying to get me to move towards the sun. My silly shot- I am trying to show off my new fringy sweater poncho!
Here it is again, a spookier shot!
Thanks to my favorite niece who helped me photoshop my hat! I must say, I do look witchy! Have a great week!
