Hello Lovelies! I hope you had a good weekend! Today I am wearing an outfit with just two colors, but it is not quite a simple outfit. I love pink and black together, it is popular this season despite seeming to be odd bedfellows. The pink top from H&M looks like sheared pink mink.
I like the way the leggings have two elements: smooth and shiny. I bought these from Marqus Blaque in Manhattan on sale for $40 from $135. Similar here. They are made by RUNE and fit really well. It was fun to combine the necklace made of resin loops to add texture to the furry top. It was cool outdoors when these photos were shot, a classic autumn day.
I love to combine textures in my home and wardrobe. The effect becomes more nuanced and less one dimensional. I guess this is also why I like to layer, maybe I THINK in layers. Maybe that is why I am drawn to painting. Either way, I digress. I added the round bag, for the simple shape and the shine of patent pleather, ( now that is a fun term to say) and the bit of oxidized pewter chain.
I love these booties. I have always been fond of the cap toe, and the gold bar adds a nice element. These are from Derek lam and have sold out from Shopbop at $790. So I was very grateful when I found them new and with tags at Roundabout in Manhattan's Upper East Side for $325. As well, if you are a lucky size EU40, they are on Ebay, item number 400793908443. They are priced at $350,are brand new, and you can make an offer. These are they. That is grammatically correct, I swear, but sounds so strange. Here is the link.
I like them so much I seem to be staring at them. Or perhaps I am simply pensive? - or ditzing out- okay, I will fess up to that one.
Either way it is a lovely day on the roof. My pink mink, faux not, is keeping me toasty warm.
Have a wonderful week!
