I found this skirt at an upscale children's store on Madison Avenue. I used to buy my daughter's clothes from this lovely store that carries European clothing that is both beautifully made and highly styled. This multi plaid skater skirt caught my eye with its rich autumnal hues; olive and pine green, beige and camel, berry and chocolate-brown. It was easy to style with my solid v neck sweater, and comfortable to wear.
Adding some very adult pearls, a panther themed bracelet , and a Chanel coat made this outfit appropriate for a woman. Actually many petite women shop here because the clothes are made of fine materials and the designs are classic and stylish. This multi plaid skater skirt is on the short side for me, but I am comfortable with it because it is full, and because I am wearing very opaque tights. Looking back though, I would prefer a heel that is less high. Another shot of some details.
The color blocked bag was thrifted! I do love these hues, and perhaps that is the only thing I will miss from this fall-winter season! I am dreaming of pastels right now, as the temps stay resolutely in the teens.
I am wearing my sunglasses indoors. My eyes are very sensitive to light, and I was recovering from scleritis, an eye disorder than can be very serious. I am happy to be indoors! And sitting, which is easy to do in a full skirt. In the next photo, I am indeed doing what the doctor ordered: rest! Yes, indeed! My thrifted shoes rested nicely on the table. ( yes, I will clean the table later!)
Do you have a multi plaid skater skirt that you have worn this season? Do you like a tonal plaid, a buffalo check ( often confused with a plaid) , tartan, or multi plaid best? I find plaids so easy to style! What are your thoughts?
