I am wearing three layers! A sheer and slightly ruffled blouse by Oscar De La Renta that I have had for so long, it is now considered vintage! It works under everything and has held up so well over the years. My slightly heathered cardi is also old and from J.Crew. I am partial to heathered sweaters, the subtle twist of two colors is soft. The cabled Calypso sweater is warm and Calypso is a fun and beachy place to shop. It is the perfect outer layer for this day. The cashmere is thick and soft.
My bag is Lanvin. I love the rich tobacco color and the contrast of suede and leather. It is light weight. I also like that the Lanvin metal tag is only on the inside of the bag, at the end of the zippered pocket. It was a very generous gift from a dear friend.
My jeans are well worn skinnies, in deep indigo from F21. This is a casual day, and I am enjoying a leisurely pace of doing errands. A photo in black and white shows of the contrasts of this look.
A close up of the suede bag, J. Crew cardi ( kids department !), and the only ring I wore that day.
Easy layers are the way to go for these transitional days when the air is still cold, but we have spring on our minds. I am pleased it is warm enough to leave my coat in the closet! The only nod to spring in this outfit is in my shoes, a pair of patent leather and linen brogues by Chase and Chloe. I purchased these two toned shoes from Zulily.com. I have always been a fan of this type of shoe.
I have been wearing a lot of color and pattern lately. But today, I was feeling decidedly neutral. I do love to fall back on the classics, but I am craving some spring sunshine nonetheless! When spring is closer I will wear some color, and a big fat smile!
Have a great week! And a big thanks to Aracely Garcia for hair, make-up, and photos!!
