Three Bags? Yes, one is my Lancel, ( an Hermes Bolide look-alike), my everyday bag, ( one of them, eh-hem!) one a larger, almost luggage size sweetie from Loewe, and a small round one. The larger bag will carry a pair of Louboutin sandals, a pair of flares from Paige Denim, some underthings and some sunscreen. The round one is for easy access to my lipstick, credit card, and cash.
So, yes three. I am off to east Hampton for a few days. This is my simple formula; when it gets warm, I head East. When it cools down and looks like rain, I come back to Manhattan. Simple enough, right! I wore my new white culottes from Macy's, purchased recently in Atlanta, and a white mesh tee with navy trim. Perfect summer pieces. A denim trench for good measure.
It is early to wear these summer pieces. I am happily breaking a fashion rule, the one that dictates no white before Memorial day. I am all for good manners, but this weather is too divine, I am wearing white! I will want these white culottes for the Hamptons, so I will leave them there for when warm weather comes back to say. Soon, I hope. Here is a shot of my two new white summer essentials: the white culottes, and my casual sleeveless tee, from Dillards by Manceau. A red alligator bracelet for a pop of color, found at STA on Madison Avenue.
The bracelet does match my MaryJane ballet (almost) flats, which are in a cherry color patent leather, and are very comfortable. I bought these 3 years ago, and they are a wonderful go-to shoe, when I want something comfy, but with a bit of polish.
One my right hand is an intricate ring that I love. You can see it in this shot. Also, in this shot you can see the textures of both white pieces and the top-stitching of my bags.
The other ring is an eBay purchase that may change the way you think about eBay. It is platinum, and it is heavy, set with rare lavender jade and the best burmese rubies I have seen. I bought it a year before the style was a big and bold, and before the designers started setting the ovals horizontally..... Now it is worth about SO MUCH MORE more than I paid for it..
Sometimes I will let my savvy out to shine! Soon, I promise, I will do a post on buying from eBay... Now here is a shot of both rings together.
My cool ring on my right hand, pictured left, is from.... the Dollar Store! Pictured here, it is hard to tell which one is valuable , and which one is not. I do love to mix things up! Hair credit to Shelly!
Happy week, my lovelies!
