Hello Lovelies! I was sorting through a drawer when I saw my Hermes Twilly lying in my drawer. It was lonely. It called to me. I heard it plainly, but , I thought, I do not like the look of an Hermes Twilly tied to a Kelly bag. So I tied it to my wrist instead. Voila, a Twilly Bracelet!
I was dressed and ready to go when I decided that my outfit was unfinished. I glanced at my bracelets and nothing jumped out at me. When I opened my sweater drawer where a Twilly and 2 skinny scarves ( noteworthy trend, by the by ) dwell, I was inspired .
I wrapped it around my wrist until the ends were equal, tied two enamel rings in the center ( optional), and tied a loose but secure knot. I was wearing two bags in my next shoot, on the fence between an Hermes Kelly, and another quality bag that looks so much like Hermes it makes my heart swell and see orange!
Here it is with my Hermes Kelly bag, I love the navy, almost black, vest behind it to give the orange it full power. The ruby ring adds a clash-just-right bit of contrast! And I love my new stacked rings from NY Chameleon!
Now remember that "Hermes Orange" has some brown in it. It is not a full-on orange like "Hermes Tangerine." This shade reminds me of the color of expensive luggage. Think orange juice with a drop of cognac ( in a Baccarat snifter-- yum!) My Kelly bag is in Orange Togo Leather with gold hardware and white top-stitching. The top-stitching adds a wonderful finish to it, doing to this bag what the perfect necklace does to a sweetheart neckline dress.
This is more an artistic shot to share. The glorious tulips should be shown off, and they do give you a sense of how this color compares to Nature's most natural bright colors! Plus I have been working on the quality of photos on my blog, so I am proud of the resolution!
You will see more photos in my next #OOTD post. I decided that the full outfit should be done as its own post. Or maybe my short attention span decided. ;0
I also wore a Twilly as necktie in an older post. I love that look, too, especially when it is secure with a brooch instead of being tied in a knot.
Do you have an Hermes Twilly? With the skinny scarves trending ( seen frequently in Paris you should know!) this may be just the time to invest in one. They can be purchased at Hermes for $180.00. I did see my exact twilly on eBay, but at $148 it was slightly stained. For the smallish price differential, I would love to see you go into the grand Hermes store and come out with an Hermes Twilly of your choosing, and with the coveted box and orange bag, too!
Do you like the Hermes Twilly? Wouldn't it be a great belated Mother's day Gift, Birthday gift, or "just because I deserve a treat" gift ? Do you wear a Twilly on your handbag? Would you wear an Hermes Twilly as a Bracelet ?
Ah, such pressing questions, such urgent things to consider. ;)
Have a great week! xx, :) Elle
