Hi loves! I am happy to say I am feeling better! This getting old thing is not for sissies. My hubby came home from Long Island on Saturday night and we had a great Fourth! I wore my polka dot dress adorned with a sash and bow. Not red, white and blue but festive none the less!
Hubby and I went to the roof deck to see the fireworks. It was a no show. The tall building next to us obscured the view, but it was perfect night to be outside, and the sky was full of pink clouds! Sounds like a holiday to me! My polka dot dress was comfortable, believe it or not, and my silk velvet scarf was so soft and warm. I have owned this dress for eons, and found the same one on eBay. ! I also like this polka dot dress from Guess, it is strapless too, super cute, and on sale!
I carried an ostrich feather bag from Valentino. I love the scarab in the middle and the soft fluffy fringe of feathers in the wind. The feathers are layered and luxurious, and I love carrying this. Yes, I did buy it second hand, but in perfect condition. Be careful before you buy a bag or garment with feathers- they can bend easily. This was in mint condition, inside and out. Here is a similar bag, also Valentino. It is new, with tags! I have to say I adore this little number too from Roberto Cavalli in yellow ostrich feathers and silk. How precious is it with the row of rhinestones at the top. Note: inspiration only , it is costly, even at half off! Oh, the lining is leopard, of course!
Back to reality. More shots of my holiday #OOTD :
and a closer look:
My scarf is Giorgio Armani and I love the silky velvet and color blocking. I found an alternative at Opensky.com, but the site is wonky so I can't leave a link. I will try again. I think a scarf with long fringes is great to wear, it adds movement to an outfit, and a hint of mysticism.
You can see a hint of me not feeling well. You saw this shot on my last post. The sun was bright and the shadows are strong. I did feel a bit like I was moving in shadows, in the periphery, since I was not well. Following this shot is another, closer up and with a cool filter. ( give a girl a crayon...)
I wish you a wonderful, polka dot night!
