Hello! The fringe trend has taken hold of everything it seems when it comes to fashion, as has the tassel trend. This post will be proof to that assertion. A great style is a simple dress, or denim+tee combo, and a fabulous & dramatic fringed bag. I have worn that, but not today.
This look, actually almost two weeks old, is full of details, all of them with fringes or tassels. The sleeves of my tee is embroidered and fringed, and my necklace is fringed with metal cascading down. My vegan tote with intrecciato detail, sports one long and feathery tassel.
I am wearing three bracelets , all ending with tassels. I adore jewelry with tassels! Then again, I love all jewelry... I like the way the little chains ( or threads) spill down my wrist and swish. Jewelry with tassels can be costume or fine, new or vintage. Pairing them together gives the trend more oomph! And since these bracelets are small, the three together yields a better visual impact. Pow ! Swish, swish, swish! Ah, now this post is getting fun to write!
I do have tasseled sandals, but was not tempted to wear them with this. My more modern and sleek zip up booties felt like the better choice here. I have worn this fringed skirt often since I got it near me. It is so versatile and works perfectly with any boho top. Another shot of the full look.
The simple outfit was purchased in my neighborhood. The tee, skirt and necklace are from H&M. The necklace was on sale for $10.00! My bracelets, all three, are from TJ Maxx, a few blocks away. My bag looks Like Bottega Veneta, but it is not, and it was thrifted In East Hampton ! Similar ones are here and here. Bottega Veneta is the leather house best know for this woven leather look. I found one at Tradesy.
I will do a full post on jewelry with tassels via Polyvore soon. You can shop those links if you are feeling spendy in a few days! Closing with a photo that shows the lovely intrecciato work on this bag, though it was not expensive, it looks Like BV, but feels lighter! You can see the bracelets, and fringed sleeves. Best of all you see it against the background of flowers and trees that makes everything looks pretty. This trend is all about the details, and Mother Nature has got that down pat!
Happy mid week! Xx, Elle
