Happy mid week! I hope you are well! Today I am featuring black shortalls, or perhaps more accurately, a jumper with suspenders. I wore a simple white tee underneath, got my fringed bag, and took a blue silk bandana along for the ride.
Okay, okay, I am not really riding the bike- just standing in front of it, wondering who on earth would be brave enough to ride one of these cuties, on one of the busiest streets in Manhattan. Certainly, not yours truly! I am happy with this jumper, the overall look takes me back to two separate decades !
A perfect summer breeze greeted me the day that I wore this. I stepped out to perfection; the warm air and light breeze in perfect balance. I liked the way the wind moved my fringe bag, the double layer of burnished fringes brushing my wrist. I am seeing alot of fringed handbags these days and see why they are popular. The fringed bag updates an outfit and adds movement.
I brought my silk bandana to add some color to this outfit, which otherwise would have been just black and white. Plus, a silk bandana is good to have when the wind kicks up. I like to tie my hair back with a scarf. The bit of blue was nice with my black shortalls.
A look with my Vince Camuto zipper sandals, that are a year old, but have gotten so much wear! I need need a bit of height, and these are comfortable !
How I love to wear rose colored glasses! Here is what I might look like through those pink hued lenses.
Facing forward: all of the style elements in view. My fringed bag, the silk bandana at my side, and my black shortalls holding my key and a five dollar bill. A frozen yogurt is next on the agenda, so I am ready. But I will walk there, and not ride!
I am wearing: SHORTALLS by Temperely London, old but similar here. Fringed bag by Posse, similar here from Neiman Marcus. My white vee neck tee is Burberry Brit, and available here. My zip bootie sandals are Vince Camuto, similar here by Frye, a great company that I have been enjoying for decades. My hammered cuff is older from Zulily.com, but I like this from Saks and this from Lord & Taylor. My silk bandana was a thrift store find, but here are two options, one by YSl here, and a far less expensive one on eBay here.
I do love overalls! But these shortalls, or jumpers with suspenders, or bibbed jumper ( what do you call what I am wearing?) have all of my favorite features, and are perfect for summer. Plus, I love anything with pockets, and this has three!
Happy mid-week loves! XX, Elle
