Happy week dear readers! Last week I went to the Grand Hyatt for lunch. I wore bright, festive colors. After all, it was my birthday week, which I am drawing out for the month. #birthdaymonth , anyone? :) I wore mixed prints and added an Hermes Birkin padlock on a chain!
I seldom wear orange, but love this smocked tunic by Vivienne Tam. A Mix-aNista by heart, I added my vintage scarf by Van Horn. I am loving the square scarf trend. One of my favorite all time looks is a trench coat with a silk scarf, (Hermes is my fav, but I also love JMcLaughlin, and Pucci.)
I have not been wearing my Birkin lately, it is heavy, angels. So to assuage my guilt, I took the padlock off and slipped it on a chain. I love the weight of this lock as a pendant. You can also use cord, trim, leather: use your imagination! Wear the Hermes Birkin padlock around your neck when you are not wearing your bag. Here is a snap of it with the outfit and on cream.
This was a walking day! I don't wear flats often, but I was panning to be on my feet all day. By Naturalizer, the blue suede shoes have a reptile embossed toe, separated by cool gunmetal. They are so comfortable! Now to find these in black!
I LOVE bright colors for summer, wearing them seems natural: orange is the color of the perfect summer sunset, in a pink sky. All of the summer blooms are in vivid brights, too. I was inspired by nature.
Inside the Grand Hyatt lobby there was a steady hum of visitors, and some pretty touches in the lobby.
Summer color: are you feeling it?
