Hello loves! This has been a topsy-turvy week, with the weather changing and New York Fashion Week adding more "to do's on my list. I chose to wear a suede tunic for my 1st stop at #NYFW. I recently bought this suede tunic in two colors, and couldn't decide which to wear. It was on sale from The Workshop , and fit perfectly. I had to buy both!
I love this buttery soft tunic, the cut is so simple, and I look forward to wearing over skinnies and suede leggings, too. But it was hot that day, so I rolled the sleeves up, and wore it with quilted ankle boots By C Label. The first shot was the one in olive, and the next is in more of a tobacco-mustard.
My facial expression needs an explanation. The skies were clouding up... I am wearing suede. This could be a real problem. My irreplaceable suede tunic dress, both of them, could be ruined.
Wearing the tobacco suede tunic dress. I am waving hi to a neighbor . In the 2nd photo, I am wearing the olive suede tunic dress - what a funny coincidence. Thus, the reason I get my photos from a camera phone rather than a true camera: See it, snap it, and it is there ! My new phone is LG S4 and I hope you will see better resolution in the coming months.
I love my Mark Cross Grace bag that I bought almost 3 years go from STA. It has become very popular starting late last year. And now it is available studded, quilted, and color blocked! I love this as a structured top handle box bag.
My antique scarab intaglio and stone necklace is from Extraordinary, a favorite place for jewelry, and home decor, and sweet bags, too. I adore this necklace! Shopping in this store is a treat, so if you are near Bloomingdale's, please check it out, it is 2 blocks away! My large orange ring is from Mexico, my iolite ring is from The Peacock Throne, also near me. My fur bangle is older,-I love the color and texture.
Uh, oh... I was right, the clouds... Rain is coming. Back to the gate where I am covered!
Ok, you know me by now.. I did not wear either of these! Not only because of the weather, but because they look too short. Funny , in the mirror they seemed fine. I will wear these later with tights, leggings, or denim, and I may belt it. Sometimes, only the cameras know. I do think this is a great look for younger gals, and perhaps would look best with brogues or metallic sneakers!
Ok, so this has official become a post on what Not to wear for fashion week, or perhaps more to wit, what to to wear when rain threatens. What did I end up wearing? You will find out soon.
If you are in New York do visit The Workshop. This particular tunic dress is sold out but their selection of leather, suede and shearling, is amazing and well price for such high quality. If you can not get there, you can check this or this, which is on sale, but is in short sleeve. I prefer the more versatile sleeve I am wearing.
Happy weekend. Stay safe. Also, Please take some time to remember those lost on this day, years ago, and the pain that their loved ones still suffer. Take a minute.. remember...
