Welcome, its cold out. Come inside.
Sit down. Can I offer you some wine?
Before dinner, lets go to the roof for cocktails. I will wear blue, and hope the sky follows suit. ( It does not.) Oh well, I love my gossamer patterned skirt in blue honeycomb . I imagine if bees spun a silk web, rather than spiders, it would be in this honeycomb pattern.
Dinner is almost ready. I am using paper plates tonight, forgive. But dinner starts with chocolate. I know these tea lights are meant for candles, but the truffles were nestled happily there, and thereafter most happily devoured.
Why the paper plates? The president is coming, the UN will be in session, protestors will be lining the streets... the city will be mess . We want to get out while the getting is good. Our dinner with 12 family guests was delish, and the clean up was a snap. Hubby and I were in the car by 8:15. At 10:20 we are at the ocean. How we relish the quiet here; the sirens and honking horns replaced by the roar of gently cresting waves.
Does anyone else see the design in my patterned skirt in the sand? Do you see it in silica and sand- gracing the shores, and catching the light in honeycomb pockets?
