Happy Weekend friends! I hope this week has been relaxing and enjoyable. I found my mood buoyed by perfect weather and some free time. Yesterday I wore a vivid placement stripe blouse from the Loft. The placement stripe blouse is rendered in silk , so the colors are well saturated and bright! It was fun to combine this with my distressed jeans.
I added a blue link necklace that you me wear saw recently , this is from an antique store in Sag Harbor, called Sage Street. I hope you can see it a bit better here. I also wore a fun, and lightweight bag, in a cute round shape; I love the chain on the wristlet, I can leave my bracelet at home! You can also see a large orangey red ring, that may look like a rare sapphire, but it is a fire opal, not a commonly known stone, and it is semi precious, so it wont break the bank.
To give me some height I wore a pair of platform peep toes, with a rope heal and wedge insert, by the brand Rococo Radien, purchased years ago. I was super comfy in this outfit, and I do feel this ensemble does reflect my happy summer mood! I was so thrilled to find this round bag at my local TJ Maxx!
I am also happy because this blouse was thrifted for only eight dollars, and looked unworn! There is a lot of different textures in this outfit, and it can be overwhelmed by the textures of the lovely scene behind me, so I am adding a shot in black and white so you can see the textures better, without the color.
A placement stripe is my favorite stripe to wear when I want a bold look. I do wear regular stripes in the more popular nautical style, where the stripes are all the same width a bit more often. What do you think about the placement stripe? I especially love it in a full, pleated skirt, and a simple tee.!
Enjoy the rest of this weekend loves!
