FRIDAY ARRIVES! HURRAH AND CHEERS! I am sharing an unedited photo from a recent post, and added some prose that seemed to fit to mood that the photo evoked. Here is the photo from New Years, A shot in the dark..
In the dark by the window I am merely a silhoutte.
A vessel full of memories so shadowed by time, They are hard to discern: Little minnow flurries in a tarry sea.
Vestiges of time remain in bursts of remembered patchwork fragments tethered loosely to a viscous whole.
So full, so formed an adult, almost aged. Accomplished now of containing and holding still.
When the dawn comes I will know it. I will hold it's light secretly, so even when it is dark it is mine to keep.
More than a silhouette, I stand both stooped and tall; Holding life like a china teacup, knowing life in shards and fragments- Feeling life in ethereal conjurings.
I stand utterly still and consider movement. and I walk
Have you ever been inspired by a photo, so much that you are compelled to jot down your thought and commit them to paper, or cyberspace? Do you have your own " shot in the dark" that you want to share?
