Happy Friday! I hope you are settling seamlessly into 2015! As promised, more photos from sunny Mexico, where I truly felt rejuvanted. Morning coffee ( ok it is noon, and that is morning for moi) outside, with the pristine beach in view. Happy me!
The strong sunlight ( and caffeine) have worked their magic. Off to the beach I go, smothered in some serious SPF, and draped in a pareo that my SIL brought back from Turks & Caicos. I love the white sand and perfect balance of warm sun and cooling breeze.
I am probably two old for a bikini, and am only getting this shot with the pareo) but who cares. I am miles away... How old is too old for a bikini, I wonder. Help me out here. At what age do I chop my hair to a modified bob and only wear sensible shoes? Any minute, perhaps, but not this week!
I am so glad to be here. I mean that on many levels. I am happy with my life,(metaphysical level), happy to be in sunny Mexico ( the literal obvious) and happy to be online sharing my happy moments with you.
The next photo is another one of me wearing the tangerine peasant dress from the Fifteen Dollar Store.com. Now that Resort Wear is filling all of the windows back home, with similar boho looks, I am so pleased I got this dress at this price. I also got my black bikini from there, half of which you saw earlier.
Soon it is time for lunch and a lavish buffet was offered. Here is a shot of the freshest seafood one could ask for. Have I told you yet, how much I love sunny Mexico?
After my fill of seafood and sunshine it is time to, you guessed it! Go shopping! Across the street from the lovely hotel was a luxury mall, and behind the mall was a quiet strip of water and a long metal bench. It was so quiet there. A welcomed change from the hustle and bustle of New York. Here is a photo of the mall. Are you skeptical that a mall could be blog worthy? I hope you agree it is.
I bought my neoprene dress from this mall, and the tropical print outfit, too. A post is on its way with yet another outfit. I was busy in Mexico! Mid day I went back to the hotel, to the outdoors eatery and got some libations ( okay, not, but a virgin mary can be good too!)
I will leave you with a shot of this two-story, glittering mosaic column that stood sentry outside the hotel, abutting the cafe. Have a wonderful weekend!
